Cabinplant´s responsible use of stainless steel

We are proud to announce our partnership with Outokumpu’s Inner Circle initiative, a forward-thinking program aimed at the circular economy through responsible use of stainless steel.

As a company that relies heavily on stainless steel in the manufacturing of our machines, we recognize both the value and the responsibility that come with using such a durable, recyclable material. While stainless steel has a remarkably long lifespan, our production processes inevitably result in excess material, such as cuts and scraps. Rather than letting this go to waste, we ensure every usable piece is sorted, collected, and repurposed, giving it new life in the hands of others within the Inner Circle network. 

Partnering with Inner Circle strengthens our commitment to using recycled stainless steel, and it allows us to reduce our raw material footprint while supporting a circular approach to production. Thanks to a solid collaboration with like-minded companies, such as Lemvigh-Müller and Stena Recycling we ensure that steel scrap is not lost but instead contributes to a closed loop economy.  

We’ve implemented designated stainless steel collection systems across our facilities, making it easy and accessible for our employees to contribute to the recycling process. The Inner Circle partnership ensures important changes in steel production, but for Cabinplant to be a valued partner in the network,  we rely on our dedicated employees. They are the ones making change real by ensuring that all steel leftovers end up in the right container. These steps might be small, but we are sure that the direction is right.
