Dewatering
Dewatering is carried out to remove water from solids in order to facilitate further processing. Cabinplant can provide different solutions such as a press conveyor to remove water from leafy vegetables or a filter drum. Dewatering can also be combined with washing in a washing and separation drum.
Grading by size
Grading by size is a key process in many productions. Many products are valued according to size, and an easy grading is therefore important to secure the optimum price. In other cases grading by size can facilitate the further processing, e.g. herring or mackerel are directed to the most suitable filleting machine. Cabinplant can provide a number of solutions for grading by size such as axial roller grader, horizontal roller grader, size grading vibrator etc.
Grading by vision
Grading by vision using a vision system is used to survey the infeed to filleting machines. The system can determine the species, the size, the position of the fish etc.
Grading by weight
Grading by weight can be done using a line grader or the unique Cabinplant rotor grader, which is designed to weigh items statically, thus providing an unparalleled accuracy. This is especially important for high-value products such as warm water shrimp.
Separating
Cabinplant can provide several solutions for separating processes. These include a flow separator for separating lighter particles from heavier ones (sticks and leaves from vegetables, shells from mechanically peeled shrimp) and a bean cluster separator and an unsnipped bean remover used during green bean processing as well as tailor-made vibrators for special applications.
