Rotor cooker


The Cabinplant rotor cooker is designed for continuous cooking and cooling in water of root vegetables or fish. The unit features energy and space saving design as well as adjustable cooking time. Heat recovery up to 45 %.

Capacity is 2.0 - 6.0 t/h, depending on product. Other sizes are available on request.

The rotor cooker is divided into 5 zones: infeed, pre-heat, cooking, cooling and discharge. It consists of:

  • Circular vessel containing water and product 
  • Internal rotating star wheel to provide 12 or 16 separate zones
  • Discharge elevator
  • Pumps controlled by frequency inverters
  • Modulating steam valve for direct steam injection into the cooking water (optional indirect heating)
  • Insulation covered by stainless steel sheets
  • Control panel all in stainless steel 
  • Removable insulated cover to eliminate steam escape
  • Safety guarding

The cooker is normally supplied with an infeed belt mounted on weighing cells or a weighing hopper to allow controllable infeed.
